Decolonizing Research & Practice Learnings
Launched in 2021 and supported through funds from a CIHR Sex and Gender Science Chair and Ministry of Women and Gender Equality, the CGSHE Decolonizing Research and Practice Series fostered a circle of virtual dialogues and learnings on decolonizing gender and sexual health equity research and practice. The series was organized and curated by Dr. Brittany Bingham, Shíshálh Nation, current UBC assistant professor and the CGSHE / VCH Director of Indigenous Research (2020-2024) and CGSHE comms team, with Indigenous leaders, Elders and knowledge keepers. The series was co-sponsored with VCH Indigenous Health and the UBC Indigenous Research Support Initiative (IRSI).
This series of learnings are freely available and accessible here and also provided back to the speakers to share and post within their own networks.
